Fight The Flu Season With These Immune Boosting Remedies
According to Ayurveda, Kapha season starts in January and lasts into spring.
Heavy, wet, and cold are the three main qualities of Kapha season. An excess of these qualities can lead to sinus and lung congestion, flu, sluggish colon and weight gain. It can even lead to such serious condition as pnuemonia.
Don't become a victim to the winter season and take the necessary precautions. Here are a few helpful tips for the season.
What if you do get sick?
Here are two remedies which work wonders: "The Flu Bomb" and "The Fire Cider" remedy. One can be prepared instantly and the other needs a little bit of planning.
1. "The Flu Bomb” is easy to make.
It was formulated by Barbara O'Neal, an incredible Australian naturopath. I use it on myself and my family and I promise it works.
Mix all ingredients together and take sips until you finish decoction. Use up to three cups per day.
2. The "Fire Cider" Remedy.
This famous remedy from the great herbalist Rosemary Gladstar. It takes some preparation, but it is a valuable one especially if you have a big family. Use it if you are feeling run down, have sinus congestion, need more heat in your body and as a throat spray.
Chop all ingredients and add to a pint or quart jar. Fill jar to the top with Apple Cider Vinegar. Close it tightly and store in a dark room for three to four weeks. Next, strain and pour into another jar. Add some honey or maple syrup to sweeten it a bit. Store it in the refrigerator. Will keep for a few months.
Whenever you feel a cold coming, take a shot of this powerful remedy and say goodbye to your ailment.
Stay healthy this season.
