herbal pain killers

Herbs are God's gift to humanity.  There are thousands of plants, tree barks, seeds, and resins that have medicinal value.  There are thousands more yet to be discovered.

Dealing with physical pain is very personal to me.  I was injured at work more than 12 years ago when I used to work for the phone company.  My back pain was so bad that I had to quit my job due to the inability to lift over 30lbs .  For the last 12 years I have lived with back pain and it has been hard at times.  Throughout these times I experimented with different herbal therapies. I avoided pharmaceuticals at all costs because I know how damaging they can be.  After years of experimentation I discovered herbal remedies that really work.

The most effective herbal remedies for pain:

1. Pain Plaster

A plaster is when you spread honey over a cloth and add medicinal herbs.  This is placed over the area of concern.

Ingredients
:

Ginger ( joint pain)
Turmeric (inflammation)

Cayenne (pain killer)

Instructions:

Spread honey on cloth.  Sprinkle ginger, turmeric, and cayenne powders on top of honey.  Place this over problem area and wrap with plastic (saran wrap is good).  Leave it on for as long as you can.  This one really helps me!

2.  Castor Oil Pack

This is one of the first pain remedies that I learned about and got me through some painful days.

Castor oil is an anti inflammatory that also dissolves cysts, fibroids, lumps, kidney stones, and gallstones.  It can also be taken internally as a small intestine cleanser or if you have any type of food poisoning.

Instructions:  Massage castor oil unto problem area.  Cover with cloth and place a heating pad on top.  Leave it for at least 20 minutes.

3. Capsaicin Cream and Lobelia Tincture

Capsaicin is the active ingredient in cayenne pepper.  They sell capsaicin cream in most stores like CVS or Walgreens.  I have found the cream excellent for relieving pain.

For a period of 2 months my back went out and I could barely walk.  This treatment was a lifesaver and it got me off of bed when I could not move.

Ingredients:

Capsaicin cream
(analgesic)
Lobelia tincture (antispasmodic)

Instructions:   Massage cream unto painful area and add a small amount of lobelia tincture.  The capsaicin relieves the pain and the lobelia relaxes the muscles.

*Make sure to wash hands thoroughly as the cream can irritate your eyes.

4. Mitragyna Speciosa  (Kratom)

As I was doing online research, I came across a plant that I have heard about, but never pursued it  because it was getting some bad press.

Michael Tierra, a well established herbalist, from Planetary Herbology,  posted a youtube video that was a few hours long focusing on Mitragyna Speciosa.  I really respect his expertise so I listened attentively.  He claimed that this plant is a potent pain killer and it had an added benefit of upliftment.  He talked about how people were able to come off their opiate pain medication by switching to this safe and effective herb.

I was very skeptical because I have tried countless herbs and only found little relief.  I decided to give the plant a chance.  The first day I tried it I did not see a significant change with my pain, but I noticed a significant mood lift and just a feeling of well being.  After a few days,  I suddenly realized that the pain that I have been living with suddenly diminished to a point that I can barely notice.  This plant has been miraculous for me!

Millions of people around the world are currently using kratom.  They use this herb for fibromyalgia, crohns, arthritis, anxiety, depression, ptsd, and spinal problems.  It has helped countless of opiod addicts detox from their drug with minimal withdrawal symptoms.  This plant has saved the lives of many.

The government wants to ban this plant.  They are claiming that it is addictive, dangerous and it has no medicinal value.  This is big pharma at work!  They can't patent a plant so that means they can't make money out of it.  There has been 0 deaths due to kratom.  This is a completely safe plant that is currently helping millions.

So there you go.  My favorite pain killing protocols.  If you follow the five essentials, pain will be lessened as well.  Five essentials include (plenty of water,  sunshine,  exercise,  proper sleep, and proper nutrition)

Namaste!

Marma points: ayurveda's ancient secret

One of the biggest contributions to the world is Ayurveda’s Marma Points.  Ayurveda is a system of health that has been around for more than three thousand years.  It is the mother of all medical systems.  Acupuncture, naturopathy, homeopathy, siddha medicine, modern medicine, all have their roots in Ayurveda.

What are marma points?

  • There are 107 marma points in the body.  They range in size from 1 to 6 inches in diameter.
  • A marma point is a juncture in the body where two or more types of tissues meet, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, bones, or joints.
  • They are pranic centers where subtle energy channels (nadis) meet.
  • They are the collection of secret vital points of the body and mind, the seat for consciousness and energy reservoir.

Toxins, stress, and negative emotions get blocked in the marma points for years, leading to pain, energy blockages, swelling, and the manifestation of various diseases.  Blocked mamas in Ayurveda are healed through applying pressure, massage oils, gentle heat, internal and external use of herbs, and meditation.  You can get a full marma therapy, which energizes all 107 marma points or you can work on specific points for a desired result.

The  5 most important marmas and their functions
